It’s the Little Things

Happy Holidays from Silpada!

Appreciating The Little Things

With the holidays being different this year, we’re focused on the silver linings. We may not be having big get-togethers or taking trips, but in times like these, we’re extra grateful for all the little things.

We asked our team to share all the little ways they’re making this year special (despite everything). We hope sharing our little joys inspires you to appreciate all the good in your life and see every day as a gift.

“Little things make life big”

What little things bring you joy?

Our team shared what we’re most thankful for. In a year where nothing panned out as planned, we’re getting in the habit of celebrating every win (like making it to the end of 2020!!)

Holiday traditions

More little joys and big wins from our team:

  • “Being supported by all my best friends, super independent and fierce women.”
  • “I’m grateful for quiet mornings, watching the snow fall while sipping hot cocoa.”
  • “Grateful for string lights and sparkly nights!”
  • “New jewelry! This year was rough, it’s extra important to be kind and treat yourself.”
  • “More than ever, I appreciate giving and getting handwritten Christmas cards. When you can’t get together with loved ones, it’s nice to have something in your home to remind you of them.”
Holiday activities
  • “Finding the perfect gift for someone special – it makes me happy to spread joy in a year that’s been different!”
  • “Listening to my favorite albums lifts my spirits and lets me forget the craziness of 2020 and feel normal, even if it’s just for a while.”
  • “Christmas decorations! I love transforming my home for the holidays. This year I’m doing a lot of DYI projects like making wreaths and creating my own window display. I always look forward to seeing stores’ over-the-top decorations, like the displays at Saks. Since I’m doing more shopping online this year, I’m channeling some of that creativity into my own decorating!”
  • “Grateful for more time at home to work on personal projects. Finally have time to make the DIY crafts I’ve been meaning to try.”
Holiday activities, little things we are grateful for in the year 2020. Different year, little things matter most.
  • “The beach has always been my happy place and I’ve always felt lucky to live a short drive away. This year it was even more special because it was something that felt ‘normal’ again. After being cooped up for months, I have even more appreciation for sand between my toes. I’m especially thankful for warm days in early November when I can still visit the beach.”
  • “It really is the little things—new socks, a warm home, and my favorite movie.”
